Kane County Genealogical Society to host next meeting on Oct. 4

The next meeting of the Kane County Genealogical Society will be held on Sept. 26 in the first-floor meeting room of the Geneva History Museum, 113 S. 3rd Street, Geneva. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.

After a short business meeting Debra Dudek will be speaking on the topic of “Try-It Illinois and Fold3”. Debra M. Dudek is Head of Adult and Teen Services at the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook. She specializes in British genealogy, World War I research, and emerging technology topics. 

Visitors are encouraged to attend.

According to a press release from the society, the mission of the Kane County Genealogical Society (KCGS) is to gather and preserve regional historical records and serve as a country-wide educational resource for those interested in genealogy.
