U of I Extension offers free program about saving money on food costs

The University of Illinois Extension Office is hosting a free seminar on how consumers can create a food plan that fits into their budget, schedule and nutritional needs.

According to a news release, in cooperation with the Association for Home and Community Education (HCE), participants will receive research-based information and practical tips for planning meals and purchasing food more efficiently.

An Illinois Extension Educator will lead the program via webinar from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 23 at three local Extension offices – Naperville, St. Charles and Yorkville. Registration is required by Oct. 21 to prepare materials.

To register for the Kane County Extension office seminar 535 S. Randall Road, St. Charles, call 630-584-6166 or send an email to uie-dkk@illinois.edu with the county in which you plan to attend, and the topic, your name, address and phone number.
