Kane County Genealogical Society to host meeting Oct. 24

GENEVA – The Kane County Genealogical Society will hold its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the first-floor meeting room of the Geneva History Museum, 113 S. 3rd Street, Geneva.

According to a news release from the society, after a short business meeting Jane Haldeman will be speaking on the topic of “Tips for DNA Testing." Haldeman is a professional researcher and is the owner of “It’s Relative.” Additionally, she has held numerous positions in various genealogical organizations and is currently president of Fox Valley Genealogical Society in Naperville, the release states. She specializes in United States research and frequently lectures on various DNA topics.
