Batavia police to hold Drug Take Back Day Oct. 26

Residents can drop off at Batavia Police Department

BATAVIA – The National Prescription Take Back Day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island Ave., Batavia, officials announced in a news release.

In addition to medications, Batavia police will also collect vape pens or other e-cigarette devices after batteries are removed. Police are not responsible for removing batteries.

If batteries cannot be removed, consumers can check with large electronic chain stores that may accept these for proper disposal.
