“When you are in an atmosphere like this, you get shell shocked a little bit," Moore said. "That’s what happened to us at the beginning of the game. We buried ourselves in a hole. We’d make a push. When you bury yourself in that big of a hole and you make a push, it’s not quite enough. They go on another mini run and all of a sudden you’re back where you started."
Kaneland dominated in the first quarter, scoring the first 10 points and eventually leading 13-2 by the quarter's end.
“I told the girls we need to get the ball inside and focus on attacking, getting inside and getting to the free throw line and they did that at the start," Flanagan said. "I was really happy with our execution."
