Real raptors coming to the Geneva Park District

Two presentations to take place Jan. 25 at Sunset Community Center

GENEVA – See live owls, falcons and hawks up-close and personal at the Geneva Park District’s Sunset Community Center at one of two Real Raptors presentations on Jan. 25. The first one-hour presentation begins at 11 a.m. and the second begins at 1 p.m. The Sunset Community Center is located at 710 Western Ave., Geneva.

According to a news release from the Geneva Park District, attendees will learn about the lives of these amazing creatures, how human activity can unknowingly harm them, what checks and balances are in place to protect them and how people can support these beautiful birds. This program is presented by Peck Farm Park and the Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab and Education Center.

Pre-registration is recommended and is $10 per person. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information or to register call 630-232-4542 or visit genevaparks.org.
