GENEVA – The Geneva District 304 School Board voted Monday to accept a grant of $323,300 from the Fabyan Foundation.

The foundation donated one check for $128,300 for technology request and one for $195,000 to fund the Fabyan Scholarships for the district’s students, records show.

Because the district’s policy requires board to accept gifts, grants or bequests of more than $500, the board voted to accept it.

“We certainly appreciate that,” Board President Mark Grosso said. “And thank the Fabyan Foundation for their generosity.”

Technology Director Michael Wilkes said the gift is included in the cost offsets of the 2020-21 technology capital plan.

The Fabyan Foundation, based in Geneva, is a private foundation that provides grants to Geneva District 304, the Geneva Public Library, the Geneva History Museum and Preservation Partners of the Fox Valley in St. Charles, according to its funding history.
