The Purdue University Purduettes will perform at 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at Rosary High School in Aurora. The public is invited to attend.
Celebrating music of all genres with a repertoire that includes pop, classical, contemporary, country, swing, patriotic, Broadway, gospel and jazz music, the multi-talented troupe of women represents the best and brightest from a variety of majors and areas of study at Purdue, according to a news release from Rosary High School.
Rosary graduate Ashley Fritz (‘17) has been a member of the Purduettes since her freshman year. A resident of Geneva, Fritz is a junior at Purdue, majoring in French and communications.
Area students also in the Purduettes include Andrea Romero of Lisle (Naperville High School ’19); Kayla Bussert of South Elgin (St. Charles North High School ’16); and Lauren Pengiel of Lemont (Lemont High School ’18).
The Purduettes group is directed by Jeff Vallier, assisted by Jake Stensberg.
The concert is sponsored by the Rosary Fine Arts Boosters. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online at www.rosaryhs.com/purduettes or at the door. Information is available by calling 630-896-0831.
The concert will be held in the school’s McEnroe Auditorium. Rosary is at 901 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora.
