Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles chambers list restaurants' ongoing services to communities

Following the ban on dine-in patronage at restaurants and bars, a comprehensive list of carryout hours by participating local businesses has been developed, the Batavia Chamber of Commerce announced. Similar reference tools have been created by the Geneva and St. Charles chambers.

The Batavia team put together a list at shawurl.com/3cnk that will be updated. Collaborating on the project have been the Chamber, city of Batavia and Batavia MainStreet, who encourage everyone to continue to support local restaurants, a news release stated.

Takeout will be via curbside pickup or walk-in after placing the order via phone or other method. Delivery also is an option with many of the businesses. Batavia’s Restaurant Madness, which had been scheduled to begin March 22, was canceled.

The organizations also created a document that updates the hours of Batavia brick-and-mortar retailers and service businesses at shawurl.com/3cnl, including specials.

Many towns are making special allowances to let qualifying licensed bars and restaurants offer alcohol deliveries.
