On Monday, U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood, D-Naperville, released a coronavirus community resource guide to ensure residents of the 14th District receive accurate information on the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Illinois communities.
The coronavirus community resource guide includes contact information for federal, state, and local agencies leading response efforts; resources for students, veterans, senior citizens, families, and small business owners impacted by the virus; and an overview of Underwood’s work in Congress in response to COVID-19. Additionally, the guide includes best practices for Illinois families to stay healthy and prevent the spread of coronavirus in our community.
“As our community perseveres through the coronavirus outbreak, I want to make it as easy as possible for people to find the most complete, up-to-date, and factual information on all aspects of this crisis that is changing by the moment,” Underwood said in a news release from her office. “This resource guide is a practical directory of information about good public health practices and guidance for where to turn for support with income support, childcare, small business loans, caring for seniors, and more. The coronavirus outbreak requires all of us to step up to save lives and protect our community, and we will face this challenge by using every tool that we have to help us through this crisis.”
