Number of COVID-19 cases rises in Kane County

KANE COUNTY – The number of COVID-19 cases in Kane County is 38 as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health's website.

An additional 330 cases were reported in Illinois on Wednesday, bringing the state's total to 1,865 confirmed cases. Three more people have died in Illinois, bringing the total number of deaths to 19. There have been 14,209 people tested.

Lake County has 139 confirmed positive cases. DuPage has 131, Will has 40, McHenry has 25, Kendall has 6, DeKalb and La Salle each have 3, and Grundy and Whiteside each have 1.

Two correctional officers and one man incarcerated at Stateville Correctional Center have tested positive as well, according to the IDPH.
