Quoting Tom Petty famously singing, “The waiting is the hardest part,” the Paramount in Aurora announced the theater and its school of the arts have been busy rescheduling upcoming events ranging from Jay Leno to Straight No Chaser to give audiences something to look forward to this year.
The intervening interval will be longest for the musical "Kinky Boots," which was to cap the Broadway Series this spring, a news release stated. The new production dates are June 30 to Aug. 15, 2021. Subscribers can exchange or purchase additional "Kinky Boots" tickets starting Aug. 3. Anyone who cannot attend any of next year's performances is asked to contact the box office by June 7, 2020, to receive a credit.
New Broadway season
The 2020-21 Broadway Series – "Rock of Ages," "Cinderella," "Groundhog Day" and "Ragtime" – remains scheduled as planned. The pre-order deadline has been extended to June 7. People who become a four-show subscriber also receive 50% off tickets to "Kinky Boots."
The inaugural season of the Bold Series of year-round plays at the nearby Copley Theatre has been postponed until the 2021-22 season.
