Daily COVID-19 case count drops Saturday in Kane from previous day

KANE COUNTY – The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 157 new cases of COVID-19 in Kane County on Saturday, along with 2 more deaths from the virus.

Kane County now has 5,484 total cases and 152 deaths, according to the IDPH.

The recent deaths are 1 male 30s and 1 male 70s.

State health officials also announced 2,352 new cases of the virus and 75 additional deaths. Illinois now has 107,796 cases and 4,790 deaths. Laboratories reported 25,114 tests in the past 24 hours. Illinois' rolling positivity rate is 13%.
