KANE COUNTY – Illinois public health officials on Sunday reported 68 new cases of COVID-19 in Kane County.

Two new deaths were reported on Saturday – a man in his 80s and a man in his 90s. The number of COVID-19 deaths in Kane County stands at 251.

The total number of cases in the county is now 7,399 an increase of 68 since Saturday.

Officials report a total of 136,762 cases statewide, including 6,647 deaths. Officials on Sunday announced 658 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois, including 23 additional confirmed deaths.

Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 23,816 specimens for a total of 1,360,784.
