Another jump in Kane County COVID-19 cases reported Monday after weekend drop

No new deaths reported

KANE COUNTY – Illinois public health officials on Monday reported 48 new cases of COVID-19 in Kane County and no additional deaths. Health officials reported 22 cases on Sunday, so Monday's total was more than double the number of new infections.

Kane County now has 7,674 cases of the virus, with 265 deaths, according to the IDPH website.

State health officials reported 738 additional cases and 14 deaths statewide for a total of 142,461 cases, including 6,902 deaths. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 26,918 specimens. The state's rolling positivity rate was 2.7% on Monday.
