Health officials report 3 new deaths, more cases of COVID-19 in Kane County Tuesday

Illinois' rolling positivity rate drops slightly to 2.6%

KANE COUNTY – Illinois public health officials on Tuesday reported 29 new cases of COVID-19 in Kane County and 3 additional deaths, which were a woman in her 60s and two men in their 70s.

Kane County now has 7,703 cases of the virus, with 268 deaths, according to the IDPH website.

State health officials reported 724 additional cases and 23 deaths statewide on Tuesday, for a total of 143,185 cases, including 6,923 deaths. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 31,069 specimens. The state's rolling positivity rate dropped slightly to 2.6% on Tuesday from 2.7% on Monday.
