Beyond the Bookshelves: Welcome to your new Geneva Public Library

We are excited to announce that we have begun limited in-building service by appointment. We thank you for your patience, and we can't wait to welcome you to your new library at 227 S. Seventh St., where we will offer you a safe, personalized experience.

To ensure the safety of our community and staff, we will offer one-hour appointments for browsing, checking out materials, and computer use. Time and capacity limits are in place to promote social distancing and keep everyone safe.

The Librarian Recommends: Young Adult Librarian Martha Sullivan recommends “The Epic Crush of Genie Lo” by F.C. Yee. “This is the summer book blockbuster you’ve been waiting for. This hilarious mix of Chinese mythology, Kung Fu action, and sarcastic humor will have you alternately laughing and gripping the edge of your seat,” she says.

Paula Krapf is public relations and marketing manager for Geneva Public Library. The “Beyond the Bookshelves” column runs the third Thursday of each month. Feedback can be sent to editorial@kcchronicle.com.
