ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Police Department issued 10 speeding citations as part of a recent traffic enforcement campaign.

The St. Charles Police Department conducted additional traffic enforcement June 15–July 6, reminding motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired as part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort.

The department joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway deaths by issuing citations to unbuckled motorists and arresting impaired drivers. St. Charles Police also issued two citations for driving without insurance, three citations for other violations and made one other traffic related arrest.

The Click It or Ticket mobilization was made possible with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
