Geneva Library open two more hours each day

For safety, library offers 1-hour appointments

The Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St., Geneva, will now be open two additional hours each day, an hour earlier and an hour later. The expanded hours are now 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For safety during the pandemic, patrons can make one-hour appointments.

GENEVA – The Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St., Geneva, will now be open two additional hours each day, an hour earlier and an hour later, officials announced in a news release.

The expanded hours are now 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The library had previously been open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

To ensure the safety of the community and library staff, there are one-hour appointments during the coronavirus pandemic. Time and capacity limits are in place to promote social distancing and keep everyone safe.
