Police Reports

Batavia police reports from Aug. 19-Sept. 12

These are the latest Batavia police reports:

• Scott McQueen, 39, of the 500 block of Fremont Street, West Chicago, was arrested Sept. 14 on a warrant for burglary and retail theft.

• A Dyson Ball Multi Floor upright vacuum cleaner valued at $399.99 was reported shoplifted Sept. 7 from Target, 115 N. Randall Road, Batavia.

• An unlocked car in the 1100 block of West Wilson Street was reported burglarized Sept. 4 of a wallet with assorted ID cards, credit cards and about $55 in cash.

• A resident in the 1200 block of Howe Street reported Sept. 4 of losing $1,500 in gift cards to a scam where a caller was able to convince him he needed to pay to fix a computer problem.

•A resident in the 600 block of Spring Street reported Sept. 4 that someone entered her detached garage and stole two bicycles valued at $1,100.

• An unlocked car in the 1100 block of West Wilson Street was reported burglarized Sept. 4 of a power saw and drill valued $408.

• The exit sign for Randall 15 Theaters, 550 N. Randall Road, was reported damaged Sept. 8. There was no estimate of the cost of the damage.

• A resident of the 1200 block of Surrey Road reported Sept. 8 that he was in collection for a medical debt from 2001 – for medical care that he did not receive.

• A bicycle valued at $125 was reported stolen Sept. 2 from the 200 block of North Island Avenue.

• Three bicycles valued at $160 were reported stolen Sept. 2 from the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle.

• The stop sign at the intersection of College and Lathem streets was reported damaged Sept. 1 by unknown means. Officials stated in an email that the cost to repair it would be nominal.

• A bicycle valued at $300 was reported stolen Sept. 1 from the 100 block of Church Street.

• A bicycle valued at $100 was reported stolen Sept. 1 from the 100 block of Church Street.

• Three Dodge Ram pickup trucks were reported ransacked and one burglarized Aug. 30 while they were parked in the 600 block of Violet Lane. Missing items were a purse with credit cards and driver’s license, a wallet containing $200 in cash and a cell phone. The purse and credit cards were later recovered about a mile away, police stated in an email.

• Two political signs valued at $25 were reported stolen Aug. 29 from the 1300 block of Hart Road.

• A political sign valued at $42 was reported stolen Aug. 28 from the 200 block of Delia Street.

• A decorative exterior bench valued at $200 was reported stolen Aug. 19 from the 0-99 block of Harrison Street.

• Graffiti was discovered Aug. 19 spray painted on a city-owned utility building in the 1400 block of Larkspur Lane. The cost to remove the graffiti is unknown.

• Spray paint graffiti damages was reported Sept. 14 to a property in the 400 block of South Water Street.

• Sandra Coronado, 41, of the 1200 block of North Glen Circle, Aurora, was arrested Sept. 11 on a Batavia warrant on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

• A mountain bike valued at $80 was reported stolen Sept. 12 from the 100 block of West Wilson Street.
