The Batavia Overseas VFW and Auxiliary VFW Post 1197 will present the second annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, with a lineup of live music, games, contests and food.

The community festivities will kick off with pumpkin decorating from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a contest judged by Fire Chief Randy Deicke at 11:30 a.m., a news release stated.

On display will be an emergency and military vehicle Touch a Truck/Rodeo from 9 a.m. to noon.

Freshly smoked pulled pork barbecue and sides will be offered all day after 11 a.m.; the requested donation is $10 a plate with a drink for adults, or $5 for children younger than 8.

A corn hole contest and 50/50 raffle begin at noon. Starting at 1 p.m. will be kids games such as sack race and egg on spoon, along with a costume contest.

A street taco tent will open at 6 p.m.

Offered all day will be free horseshoes and corn hole games, along with VFW tours and a membership table.

"There is a path to membership for everyone; ask us how," invites the organization in the release.

• Noon: Garage rock by The Wayouts

• 4 p.m.: Kickin' country music by Bill Gray
