Children's author Tom Lichtenheld of Batavia to be part of virtual story time

Batavia children's author Tom Lichtenheld and fellow New York Times bestselling author Andrea Beaty will be part of a virtual story-time event at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1.

The election-themed read-aloud event was announced by U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-Naperville). Beaty and Lichtenheld will join Underwood to read “Sofia Valdez, Future Prez" by Beaty and "Duck! Rabbit” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Lichtenheld. The event is kid-friendly.

Illinois-born Beaty is a children’s author, and Lichtenheld, formerly of Geneva, is both a children’s author and illustrator
