ST. CHARLES – St. Charles Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jim Di Ciaula is being honored for his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“From the onset of the pandemic, I followed the actions taken proactively by the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce," chamber member Laurel Moad, secretary of the River Corridor Foundation of St. Charles, said in a news release from the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. "I watched our president, Jim Di Ciaula, format a vision and work tirelessly to identify the needs of his members. He generated creative ideas and turned them into actionable outcomes. Jim formed committees with the expertise to identify resources, consult with agencies, seek solutions and get answers. He provided members with the information and direction to make appropriate decisions for their businesses.”

To recognize Di Ciaula for his leadership and commitment, he was presented at a recent Chamber board meeting with a legacy brick which has been placed in the Bob Leonard Riverwalk in his honor.

“Jim has done an outstanding job of navigating the Chamber through the challenges of 2020," St. Charles Chamber Board Chairman Ryan Anderson said in the release. "We want to congratulate Jim on receiving this honor and we want to thank Laurel for acknowledging Jim's perseverance and creativity this year.”
